Description
This position is a shared resource between Barrie Family Health Organization (BFHO), Barrie Community Family
Medicine Clinics (BCFMC) and Barrie and Community Family Health Team (BCFHT). The primary responsibility of
this position is the completion of the full accounting cycle from Accounts Payables, and Receivables to preparation
of internal financial statements for the BFHO and BCFMC. In addition, this position provides Accounts Payable and
purchasing support for BCFHT.


Primary Responsibilities:


BFHO/BCFMC

  • Account Receivables & Payables, including payment processing through EFT**
  • Preparation of bank deposits, and completion of monthly bank reconciliations
  • Reconciliation of Intercompany Accounts
  • Reconciliation and payment of monthly Ministry of Health funding to FHO physicians
  • Calculation of monthly Honourariums
  • Biweekly payroll
  • Preparation of monthly internal reporting packages

BCFHT

  • Physician funding including agreements, changes, process entries and posting in GP, mail out of monthly
statement.

  • Prepare and process all purchase orders for supplies.
  • Receive all incoming deliveries.
  • Responsible for the tracking and organizing of physical assets across all BCFHT locations.

Education, Qualifications and Skills

  • Postsecondary education in finance, accounting, business administration or another related field.
  • A minimum 3 years' experience in a
    finance/administration role.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, Enterprise, Excel, Adobe, and Outlook.
  • Strong financial aptitude.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with proven ability to work well in a team.
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize while working within a busy environment.
  • It is a condition of employment that you receive the necessary vaccinations to protect against COVID19, or any
similar infectious diseases, which are recommended by governmental and public health authorities. The BCFHT
will comply with the Ontario Human Rights Code with respect to any exemption requests

**Additional Job Requirements: - Must adhere to all BCFHT Policies and Procedures

  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be able to travel within the community on a regular basis
