Job Duties:

Serving the host and guests of a party, all timeline and services must be met or exceeded;
Serving buffets, sitdown and hors d'Oeuvres events;
Setting tables with quality china, glass, silver and following details of event order;
Ensuring high standards by following service standards of department;
Exceeding customer expectations by anticipating service needs;
Promoting an excellent work environment by following Standards of Excellence;
Providing handson quality checks of room and individual tables;
Ensuring a safe work environment by following all work practices;
Following food safety and handling procedures and compliance regulations as outlined by hotel standards and federal, provincial and local laws;
Adhere to all hotel safety and security policies and procedures as outlined by hotel standards and federal, provincial and local laws;
Maintains superior standards of quality, service and cleanliness in the kitchen and service area;
Consistently maintains a neat, organized and clean workspace and uniform;
Demonstrates a commitment to provide the best possible experience for guests, ensuring superior personalized service;
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High school graduate or equivalent preferred;
Must hold valid Smart Serve Certification;
Knowledge of principles, values and processes for providing superior guest service;
Ability to project a professional, friendly and courteous image to guests;
Ability to multitask and be detail oriented;
Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment;
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
