Job Title:

Rate of Pay:
$27.29 per hour; increments as per Collective Agreement


JOB SUMMARY:

To provide support for individuals who have mental health concerns by facilitating individualized goal
- oriented treatment/recovery plans which are based on a psychosocial rehabilitation and recovery model
approach.***
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum Diploma in a related human service field and one year recent work experience with
adults who have mental health concerns; or an equivalent combination of education, training and
experience; certification in Psychosocial Rehabilitation required

Must have experience facilitating groups and coaching life skills

  • Sound knowledge of and commitment to the principles of Psychosocial Rehabilitation and the
Recovery Model

  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with family members, the community and support
network, with team members and the wider agency

  • Demonstrated skills in planning, decisionmaking, coaching, humanrelations such as a genuine
concern and respect for mental health clients

  • Knowledge of current medications and medication administration/monitoring procedures
  • Demonstrated ability and commitment to working effectively with diverse populations
  • Knowledge of community resources is essential
  • Valid First Aid/CPR, Nonviolent Crisis Intervention and Food Safe certification
  • Working knowledge of Windows operating system and MS Word; familiarity with an electronic
case management system is preferred

  • Successful Criminal Record Check




HOURS OF WORK:
32 hours per week
- Tuesday to Friday 2:00 p.m.

10:00 p.m. This is a
temporary

position covering a leave of absence for approximately 12 months. Start and finish times may vary
and flexibility with hours of work may be required to meet client and program needs as determined by the
Program Supervisor.

This position is open to applicants of all genders. This position requires Union Membership. In order to
ensure safety of the persons served and colleagues, programs require Covid vaccination. Proof of
vaccination status will be required for successful applicants for this position.
