What's the job?

  • Performing month end activities i.e. journal entries, coordination and consolidation of month end reporting requirements
  • Supports in the preparation of various monthend / quarterend / yearend financial reports
  • Supports in the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and monitor aging items
  • Initiates and drives process automation/improvements/efficiency via Financial reporting using SAP, Magnitude, and Power BI.
  • Identifies and resolves readily identifiable, clearlydefined problems
  • Continuously reviewing for process improvement. Utilizing reporting tools to making processes efficient. (i.e. developing a report in a system to automate the delivery)
  • Supports the preparation of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting and reporting
  • Prepares monthly journal entries, as required
  • Adhoc requests or special projects as require

Requirements About you**:


  • A Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in accounting or equivalent education or experience is required.
  • Strong ability to work independently
  • Advanced MS Excel and Access skills for reporting and data analysis
  • Strong proficiency with MS Powerpoint skills for presentation support
  • Experience with ERP systems an asset (SAP, etc), Microsoft office suite knowledge and tools is an asset.
  • Able to navigate data and use database tools ie: Query tools, database excel functions and other cubebased platforms
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good knowledge of internet data hunting and navigational tools
  • Must be customer service oriented and highly organized
