What you'll be contributing:

This is a temporary role (3-6 months contract) that is based at our Colborne Quarry (limestone). This individual will help load our barge with limestone rocks using our loading system.

Daily inspection of boat loading system
Operate boat loading systems properly and efficiently
Convey operational information during shift change
Report any deficiencies to the supervisor
Housekeeping duties as assigned
When boat season is closed, loader will do cleanup work and any other duties as assigned
Tasks will be performed in compliance with all CRH policies, procedures, instruction manuals
Comply with CRH safety rules, policies and procedures
Report all incidents, near misses and all safety hazards
Follow Lockout/Tag out procedures

You will need:

Certification of apprenticeship for surface mining
Understanding of conveyor system
Good written/oral communication skills
Knowledge of Boat loading system
General knowledge of Quarry operation

What to expect in a quarry environment:
Work to be performed throughout the quarry. Exposure to heat, cold, and noise requires compliance with specified safety guidelines and procedures. Exposure to high elevations of up to 250 feet in height. Exposure to all weather conditions. Normal operation of mobile equipment may result in jarring and vibratory exposure.
