Your challenge
Reporting to the Continuous Improvement Supervisor, the Continuous Improvement Advisor's mission is to put his or her expertise to work in the implementation of corporate continuous improvement initiatives leading to organizational changes and company growth.
You therefore collaborate on various continuous improvement projects by leading working sessions and meetings with key operational stakeholders and process owners to generate discussions on current practices and identify opportunities for improvement.
In addition, you must engage stakeholders in finding sustainable solutions to support Cascades' continuous improvement objectives and culture.As a result, you help maximize the company's operational efficiency by ensuring practices and processes' consistency necessary for its sustainability.
Individual responsibilities
- Responsible for the overview of the health of the Lean Production System and the mid to long term CI projects
- Responsible for the plants Quality Pillar progression and sustainability
- Collaborate with operators, supervisors and LCT and participate in the implementation and development of tools to foster a culture of continuous improvement in the unit
- Provides coaching and training on DRS and DMS and ensures updates when required
- Ensuring compliance with established quality standards and contribute to the development of action plans as a quality assurance and continuous improvement expert
- Identify opportunities and facilitate process improvement implementation, monitor process, and followup to ensure desired performance and quality levels are reached
- Monitor performance indicators and provide insights and corrective actions for the team on identified issues
- Collaborate with other CI Leads and Quality departments to share best practices for standardized processes
- Provide support and coaching to shipping and other supporting departments to ensure processes optimized and executed according to defined standards, participate in daily meetings and provide data analysis and corrective actions
- Support divisional and corporate objectives including health & safety, quality, productivity, innovation, waste and 5S
