This role will have the option to be fully remote, hybrid or on-site, with a preference for on-site attendance at least once a week.

The Conflicts and Compliance Coordinator works with our legal professionals to ensure that we are protecting our clients' interests and are compliant with legal industry standards. We're looking to hire someone with high attention to detail who is a great team player and willing to learn. Hours of Work: 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Monday - Friday.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Manages OPEN requests, including preliminary conflicts, new matter and file changes
  • Maintains changes to the Conflict Report and Restricted List Report
  • Conducts testing and maintenance of Intapp OPEN and Wallbuilder and other system integrations
  • Tests and maintains changes to OPEN and World Check, and works directly with the vendor
  • Maintains updates to firmwide Policies on STELLA
  • Prepares, distributes and reports on 120 Days No Activity Report
  • Maintains various internal lists, C16 and Director/Officer/Trustee/Sanctions/Client WatchList
  • Responsible for semiannual Restricted List Updates
  • Oversees the distribution of the Monthly New Client Open Report
  • Maintains intranet content with respect to Conflicts, File Opening, Ethical Walls and Restricted Trading
  • Assists with Departure Lawyer Checklist, as required
  • Creates, updates and dismantles Ethical Walls using IntApp software and CMS
  • Processes Trade Requests as well as any required updates
  • Maintains and follows up on Retainer Letters to ensure compliance
  • Works with the Professional & Ethics Committee and/or other Committees to ensure we are meeting their requirements and or Best Practices
  • Provides scheduling and coverage for afterhours conflict coverage on a rotating basis.

Skills/Knowledge/Experience:


  • Must be a team player and work within a team
  • Law Clerk Designation and research experience a strong asset
  • Knowledge of CMS or Elite
  • Must have knowledge of MS Word
  • Strong Customer Service Skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be highly organized and very detailoriented
  • Must think creatively, have a positive attitude and ability to learn new functions quickly
  • Must work according to standardized procedures and general work direction
