Manager, Data Quality


WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • DQ Rule Design & Implementation
  • Assess the existing control environment, gather requirements from business and IT stakeholders, understand the data and structures to design and implement effective data quality monitoring rules.
  • DQ Dashboard & Reporting
  • Enhance existing DQ reporting, develop new dashboards based on business needs and requirements, and provide support in communicating DQ findings to data domain stewards and owners.
  • DQ Tool Infrastructure Support
  • Collaborate with IT DQ tool support team to monitor the performance of the DQ engine, investigate causes of issues, and recommend alternatives for improving performance.
  • Collaborate with and across the RBC data management community, including the Chief Data Office and platform Data Management Offices to ensure P&CB data quality processes are consistent and current with RBC best practices.
  • Participate in the discovery and exploration of new and emerging tools related to data quality management.
  • Providing support across the team where required with Enterprise Data Governance Tooling projects, business term definition, lineage documentation, physical data dictionary documentation, developing relationships and context within metadata management tools.

Must have:


  • Ability to understand and navigate through ambiguous requirements and deliver quality outcomes in new areas.
  • Superior organization, prioritization and time management skills and ability to multitask and shift priorities in a new and changing environment.
  • Proven ability to deliver in a complex and challenging business environment.
  • Strong ability to work with a diverse set of individuals across business, functional and organization boundaries in multifaceted/diverse environment.

Nice-to-have:


  • Working knowledge of data management tools including IBM Information Analyzer and Collibra an asset.
  • Experience with business cases and management reporting an asset.
  • IT, Engineering, and/or Business background.
