As part of the Trillium project based in Ottawa, we are looking for a Substantial Completion Lead to join our growing team.

The incumbent will have the overall responsibility to deliver the project requirements with regards Substantial Completions management.


How will you contribute to the team?

  • Generation of Substantial Completion (SC) Plan so all stakeholders are aligned with all SC terminology, turnover acceptance for the project.
  • Development of SC Project Roadmap
  • Generate Substantial Completions Responsibility Matrix
  • Generation of SC deliverables list
  • Development of SC Project specific Check sheets
  • Manage Set up and population of Substantial Completions Management Database.
  • Prepare and manage the SC schedule (with assistance from Planner) and integration of same into overall project schedule.
  • Hold SC internal Workshops to ensure alignment between all Stakeholders and what is required from them to reach SC acceptance by the production unit throughout all project milestones.
  • Participate in SC workshops with the City

What will you contribute?

  • A degree in Engineering from a recognized institution is required
  • Experience in Substantial Completions in heavy civil engineering projects (an asset)
  • Strong business focus
  • Results oriented individual with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and timelines
  • Commitment to working in a team environment, with established team building abilities
  • Strong English communication skills both written and spoken
  • High level of interpersonal communication skills, as well as demonstrated leadership skills
