New Horizon Co-op is hiring a Petroleum Manager in Grande Prairie, Alberta.

What you'll do:


  • Provide an excellent customer experience, taking the lead on customer interactions
  • Lead the daytoday management of all aspects of the cardlock including scheduling of Team Members, ordering, receiving, merchandising, maintenance of standards and accurate pricing of products
  • Provide training, leadership, and guidance to Team Members within the department.
  • Assist in the development and achievement of operational and budgetary goals including sales, margins, expenses, inventory management and shrink control.
  • Ensure all Team Members perform their duties in compliance with established health and safety regulations
  • Responsible for the preparation, completion, and final approval of performance reviews and development action plans
  • Transporting of hazardous materials as required
  • Ordering of all required inventories of products for sale and internal usage
  • Completion of required daily paperwork and inventory reconciliations
  • Provide training and support to the team on all aspects of department operations
  • Assist in the growth of the Petroleum Division through customer interaction and market awareness
  • Other duties, as assigned

Who you are:

  • Must have a valid Class 3 driver's license, with air endorsement (minimum 3 years of holding license required for insurance purposes)
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Previous work experience in Petroleum with knowledge of fuel and lubricant products would be considered an asset
  • Knowledge of the North Peace Region
  • Previous experience in sales or customer relations would be considered an asset
  • Basic understanding of computing with computer programs, including Microsoft Office 36
  • Self driven to work independently or within a team environment
  • Strong communication and Leadership skills with a strong regard for interpersonal relationships in a team driven environment
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to complete minor repairs
  • Some heavy lifting may be required, up to 50lbs
  • Able to work a flexible schedule with the ability to work up to 50 hours weekly with rotational oncall availability
