REPORTING
The Forklift Operator reports directly to the Shipping Supervisor of Railings.
JOB SUMMARY
The Forklift Operator will work as part of the production team in carrying, loading/unloading of materials and products in a safe and controlled manner.
- Load, unload, and move materials using various machines (forklift, side loader, Raymond reach)
- Manually performing duties which requires lifting and working with others
- Maneuver wide loads (25 ft)
- Use inventory tracking systems to monitor incoming and outgoing materials
- General housekeeping duties
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
- Adhere to all safety policies and requirements as set out by the company and report all safety concerns and incidents promptly
- Must be flexible to perform other duties as assigned by manager/supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS
- 23 years' experience forklift experience in a manufacturing setting
- Valid forklift certification (counterbalance)
- Previous experience using inventory tracking systems, RF scanner
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Must be enthusiastic and willing to learn
- Ability to work independently in a fastpaced team environment
- Effective and professional communication skillsverbal and written
- Detailed oriented and ability to multitask
