REPORTING
The Forklift Operator reports directly to the Shipping Supervisor of Railings.


JOB SUMMARY


The Forklift Operator will work as part of the production team in carrying, loading/unloading of materials and products in a safe and controlled manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Load, unload, and move materials using various machines (forklift, side loader, Raymond reach)
  • Manually performing duties which requires lifting and working with others
  • Maneuver wide loads (25 ft)
  • Use inventory tracking systems to monitor incoming and outgoing materials
  • General housekeeping duties
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and requirements as set out by the company and report all safety concerns and incidents promptly
  • Must be flexible to perform other duties as assigned by manager/supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 23 years' experience forklift experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Valid forklift certification (counterbalance)
  • Previous experience using inventory tracking systems, RF scanner
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Must be enthusiastic and willing to learn
  • Ability to work independently in a fastpaced team environment
  • Effective and professional communication skillsverbal and written
  • Detailed oriented and ability to multitask
