As the
Pharmacist Assistant, you will be supporting the Pharmacy Manager, Pharmacist and Pharmacy Technicians and delivering pharmacy services, maintenance and operations of the Pharmacy, while providing superior, timely, and caring service to customers.
Pharmacy Manager and will support and drive results through:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performing data entry for new prescriptions and managing refill request processing
- Answering medication questions and handling all customer concerns over the phone or inperson
- Contacting patients to complete med checks, refill reminders and working with patients to process insurance claims
- Efficiently counting or measuring, packaging, and labelling prescriptions as per Pharmacy Standards of Practice, ensuring all relevant information and documentation is complete
- Entering and maintaining appropriate data within the applicable Pharmacy systems
- Handling the front end payments, stocking and maintaining inventory
- Unpacking and receiving pharmacy totes inside pharmacy in a secure environment
- Promoting marketing programs as appropriate and required
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of workspace
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Pharmacy Assistant diploma or equivalent experience
- Min 2 year experience in healthcare setting (preferred) and experience (preferred) using Kroll.
- Strong customer service and communications skills
- Working knowledge of medical terminology
- Detail oriented and ability to multitask effectively manage high volume of patients
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong organizational skills
- Positive, cooperative and team oriented
- Consistently adheres to privacy legislation and confidentiality standards.
Job Types:
Part-time, Casual
Part-time hours: per week
Salary:
$14.00-$15.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
