The Hansard Services department is seeking an organized, collaborative, and detail-oriented individual for the regular part-time position of Editorial Team Lead.


Reporting to the Manager, Reporting Services (MRS), the Editorial Team Leader (ETL) contributes to Hansard Services by leading a team of Editors and supporting the MRS in planning, managing and coordinating the production of Hansard Services' print products and in managing and implementing special internal and cross-departmental projects.

The ETL trains, leads and supervises an editorial team, participates in the strategic planning of staffing and operational needs, and leads and manages projects.

The ETL provides operational and production management as assigned by the MRS and in the absence of the MRS.


QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must be/have:

  • A postsecondary education or at least two years of undergraduate study plus a professional editing or publishing certificate, or an equivalent combination of education and practical experience.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Experience relieving other supervisory or management roles in production duties and leading projects.
  • Experience working with Hansard or parliamentary documents.
  • Experience developing and presenting training materials and workshops.
