Position Summary

The Stores Associate will be responsible for dynamic inventory and tooling needs include maintenance, organization, management of the warehouse stock and the control, storage, maintenance and calibration of tooling.

The associate is responsible for ensuring Inventory and Tooling control processes and quality control initiatives are accurately followed and reported.

The Stores Associate will conduct audits, physical inventory, data entry, and report generation. This role will directly report to the Stores Lead.

Major Responsibilities and Duties

  • Verify accuracy of incoming part orders and stores parts in proper location.
  • Picking and issuing material to fulfil production floor orders.
  • Manage and maintain production tool and equipment inventory.
  • Issue and maintain tool and equipment records for parts that leave and are returned to inventory.
  • Tool calibration, repairs, and replacement processes
  • Work with supply chain, production and planning to issue material requisitions, obtain quotes for tool and equipment.
  • Work with procurement team to order out of stock tools and parts and ensure safety stock is in place.
  • Receive, unpack, and store incoming parts/tools/equipment and requisitions stock to replenish inventory.
  • Conduct cycle time studies or tool life monitoring programs to assess viability of tool and equipment.
  • Inspects and measures tools and equipment for defects and wear.
  • Preset tool in preparation for scheduled jobs.
  • Repairs, services, and lubricates tools and equipment, as required.
  • Locate lost or misplaced tools and equipment, as required.
  • Crating, labelling and storage of tooling and jigs.
  • Creating report documentation detailing stock number, inventory, and discrepancies.
  • Ensuring accuracy of information by performing data entry of logistics, shipping, and receiving.
  • Coordinate with the procurement, accounting, and management during year end counts.
  • Coordinate all physical inventories following company procedures.
  • Tracking all relevant warehouse and inventory information with a Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) system and/or an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System.
  • Oversee all phases of inventory movements, receiving and transferring parts from one location to another, and issuing tooling to the production floor.
  • Partner with production to improve performance, reduce cost and gain production efficiency.
  • Manage the physical inventory to ensure a continuous flow and eliminate interruptions.
  • Strategically manage tool crib and stores in compliance with company's policies and vision.
  • Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations, Direct execution of all activities related to shipping and receiving, including AOG requests.
  • Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization.
  • Follow up optimal operational policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to all warehousing, handling, and shipping legislation requirements.
  • Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security.
  • Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system.
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and transport companies.
  • Produce reports and statistics regularly.
  • Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided.
  • Work with the planning and production to issue the resources for the required dates defined on the schedule.
  • Support the operation and maintenance of ground support equipment.

Qualifications:


  • Physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs.
Experience

  • Warehouse experience is an asset.
  • Experience with using MRP or ERP systems is an asset.
  • Experience working in a heavy production environment is an asset.
  • Experienced in MS Office experience (Outlook, Word, Excel) & ERP system.


  • Experience in Shipping

  • Local/international.
  • Good overall knowledge of tools.
  • Familiarity with data entry, filing, and record keeping.
  • Strong knowledge with Windowsbased computer operating systems and software.
  • A positive attitude with good customer service skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, and the ability to follow special instructions.
  • The ability to work independently and stay focused to complete assigned work.
  • Kitting experience.
