Dragados Canada, Inc., the Canadian construction arm of the ACS Group (one of the world's largest international construction and engineering companies), is seeking a talented and experienced Commissioning Coordinator - Electrical and Systems to join its dynamic and energetic team.


Dragados Canada was established in 2008 and has grown steadily into an industry-leader in Canada, with offices in Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal, successfully performing a variety of large-scale transportation, bridge, dam, tunnel, and other major infrastructure projects.


Responsibilities

  • Serve as the project's point of contact for all Electrical and Instrumentation systems, while collaborating with thirdparty commissioning agents to complete the commissioning scope
  • Participate actively in Internal and Client meetings related to commissioning and turnover
  • Demonstrate leadership through open and frequent communication with stakeholders
  • Develop and disseminate relevant information to the BNA and Client Leadership Teams
  • Participate in Sustainability meetings and document reviews (LEED Compliance) for all electrical system issues as the Project Commissioning Coordinator
  • Coordinate Operations and Maintenance requirements during construction (training, System Operations Manual development)
  • Facilitate the Interface meetings with the client, and 3rd parties (subcontractors, vendors, government agencies) and prepare meeting minutes and address action items
  • Participate in the updates of the Commissioning Plan throughout the construction process
  • Assist with the management of the interface with the Commissioning Agent, including contract administration for their subcontract
  • Coordinate and administer the Commissioning Schedules, Test Procedures, and Submittal forms to WDBA
  • Coordinate commissioning preparation and deliverables by subcontractors, vendors and thirdparty commissioning agencies
  • Oversee the training program for the Client, Operations, and Maintenance teams
  • Coordinate the inputs to the Systems Operations Manual
  • Ensure supporting documents are available for seasonal commissioning, offseasonal commissioning, and ongoing Building Systems Commissioning Post-Handover
  • Facilitate internal Commissioning meetings with the Handover Manager to ensure compliance with the project Handover protocol and agreed execution strategy
  • Address issues about Commissioning in the Project Agreement and resolve if necessary with the appropriate person(s)
  • Monitor and manage the Commissioning Schedules with BNA construction and subcontractors
  • Review and upload documents issued to subcontractors and commissioning agents from the Records Management System
  • Draft Commissioning Governance documents (white papers, forms, policies, and procedures) as needed
  • Develop an extensive commissioning plan and schedule
  • Sponsor the development and inputs for Asset Information Management System
  • Establish meeting agendas both internally and externally
  • Responsible for the delivery of the Commissioning requirements in the Project Agreement
  • Review Commissioning inputs in Quality Inspection and Testing Plans
  • Address nonconformance reports and develop responses
  • Assist in the establishment of the project completions database (CxAlloy) for commissioning activities and collaborate with thirdparty commissioning agents to identify records for commissioning scope validation
  • Assist in Turnover, Commissioning, and Handover submissions to the Client in a timely manner
  • Support with the structuring of the Handover submittal and liaison with the Client's appointed assessor
  • Participate in Commissioning integrated system testing
  • Attend component and functional meetings

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or related discipline
  • Power Engineering certificate if preferred
  • Minimum of 37 years of similar work experience
  • Prior experience commissioning largescale commercial structures particularly infrastructure, is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated capability at creating and managing performance tracking and reporting
  • Proven ability to integrate multiple schedule sources into a master schedule
  • Proven expertise in overseeing contracts with clients and subcontractors
  • Ability to manage activities and deliverables on multiple projects
  • Proficiency with BIM360, MS Excel and Word
  • Strong process skills with the ability to assimilate information
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
