About the role:

DNV Maritime Region Americas is seeking a
Surveyor and Auditor to join our Montreal Station. As a fleet in service Senior Surveyor and Lead auditor for Montreal you will be member of a highly qualified team of surveyors and serving the maritime industry and various ship types (e.

g:
bulk carriers, containers, general cargo, tankers, lakers, passenger vessels) calling ports in Quebec and Ontario provinces.

This position is based out of our DNV office in Montreal, Quebec with a hybrid or flexible work arrangement.

What You'll Do

Conduct inspection surveys and certification of ships in service to ascertain the condition of mechanically functioning hulls, machinery, equipment, and equipage to determine repairs required for vessels to meet requirements for classification.
Conduct inspection and certification of shipbuilding materials and of ships during construction.
Ensure that the work or duties performed are in accordance with the Rules, Regulations,
Instructions, Guidelines and quality requirements of the organization and the instructions of the line management.
Work on major vessel conversions, alterations or any technical matters involving all type of vessels.
Maintain the confidentiality of Clients' business, processes, designs, developments and documentation at all times.
When applicable, to supervise the work of others and ensure that it is carried out as above and in an efficient and economic manner.
Communicate to line management at the earliest appropriate opportunity if in receipt of information that is important to the reputation or integrity of the organization.
Exhibit customeroriented focus through promoting DNV onboard or onsite, and by acting as a technical resource for customer questions.

Ce que vous ferez

Effectuer des inspections et la certification des navires en service pour v rifier l' tat des coques, des machines, de l' quipement et de l' quipement fonctionnant m caniquement afin de d terminer les r parations requises pour que les navires r pondent aux exigences de classification.
Effectuer l'inspection et la certification des mat riaux de construction navale et des navires pendant la construction.
S'assurer que le travail ou les fonctions effectu s sont conformes aux r gles et aux r glements,
Instructions, lignes directrices et exigences de qualit de l'organisation et les instructions de la direction hi rarchique.
Travaux sur les principales conversions de navires, les modifications ou toute question technique impliquant tous les types de navires.
Maintenir la confidentialit des activit s, des processus, des conceptions, des d veloppements et de la documentation des clients en tout temps.
S'il y a lieu, superviser le travail des autres et s'assurer qu'il est effectu comme cidessus et de mani re efficace et conomique.
Communiquer la direction hi rarchique d s que possible s'il re oit de l'information importante pour la r putation ou l'int grit de l'organisation.
Montrez une orientation ax e sur le client en faisant la promotion de la DNV bord ou sur place, et en agissant comme une ressource technique pour les questions des clients.
