Description
The new Hampton Inn Port Hope is looking for an enthusiastic general maintenance person to join out team

*Must be available for on call as required, but generally working Tuesday - Saturday (Sunday, Monday off)

General maintenance duties include but may not be limited to:
*tidy up of the outside, sweeping up garbage

*change outdoor garbage bins

*drywall repair / painting

*light electrical work (replace bulbs / ballasts)

*general repairs

*scheduled maintenance cleaning of heating/cooling units

*carpet cleaning

*Maintain the pool - perform required daily chemical checks

*monthly inspections of life safety equipment

A team player, willing to help out when required to help ensure the success of the hotel operations.


Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$18.00-$20.00 per hour


Flexible Language Requirement:

  • French not required

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • On call
  • Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

  • Overtime pay

  • Port Hope, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:


  • Maintenance: 1 year (preferred)
