Description

Sander Geophysics (SGL) specializes in high-resolution airborne geophysical surveys for petroleum and mineral exploration, as well as geological and environmental mapping.

The company carries out airborne gravity, magnetic, electromagnetic, and radiometric surveys, using fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters.

Responsibilities of the Position

Assist in creation and maintenance of shipping records
Assist in proper packing and shipping of items sent to the field or for repair or overhaul
Receive and distribute of articles arriving at SGL
Assist in preventative maintenance of building, equipment, and groundskeeping
Collect and remove garbage and recyclable materials and ensures the safe disposal of hazardous waste
Clean external areas such as entranceways, sidewalks and parking lots using brooms, rakes, shovels and other equipment to remove dirt, leaves, snow and other refuse. Perform minor gardening and lawn maintenance tasks such as mowing, weeding, pruning and watering
Complete and maintain related records such as maintenance logs
Understand, comply and promote all company safety precautions and policies including reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations
Transport equipment, furniture and supplies manually and/or using aides such as dollies and carts
Operate a motor vehicle to pick up, make deliveries and run various errands;
Ensure the shipping areas is clean and clear at all times
Understand, comply with and promote all company policies and procedures including reporting of hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience

Successful completion of secondary school
One (1) years related work experience
Valid clean Ontario driver's license required
Ability to obtain Transport Canada Airside Pass, TDG and forklift certificate
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Forklift, working at heights and First Aid certifications considered an asset
Computer literate with Word and Excel skills
Must possess excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to multitask, follow instructions and work with mínimal supervision
