The Hygate on Lexington is Waterloo's newest and most incredible retirement residence.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative professional to join our Team Hygate as the Activities Director. Your job is to help our amazing Residents increase their smiles-per-hour.
Key responsibilities include:
- Build and execute the activities and events calendar at Hygate, incorporating Resident interests with creative new ideas. The sky is the limit yes, we've been indoor skydiving.
- Take advantage of our incredible amenities, including a full gymnasium that can be used for parties, dancing, pickleball and much more.
- Balance physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and social needs in the activities schedule
- Maintain a thriving atmosphere that sets the Hygate apart from the rest of the industry
- Work with a fantastic management team
- Partner with the Sales and Marketing team to inspire prospects to become members of the Hygate community.
- Enjoy working alongside and learning from amazing Residents
- Build the Activities team as occupancy increases and manage the department accordingly
- Class F driver's license preferred (16 seat passenger bus)
- SmartServe certification
- Training or certifications in activation, fitness or other areas relevant to the position are an asset.
- Depending on the event schedule, Monday to Friday and some weekend, holiday and evening work is required.
