We are looking for a Cyber Insurance Broker to join our team in our Montreal Office


As a Cyber Insurance Broker, you will be responsible of handling placement of Cyber insurance policies in the market (Canadian and London) and work with the regional and national cyber team to develop and evolve a range of tools and consulting services that are tailored to need the Cyber risk needs of our clients.

Your day as a Cyber Insurance Broker

  • Work with the regional and national cyber team to develop and evolve a range of tools and consulting services that are tailored to the Cyber risk needs of our clients.
  • Handle placement of Cyber insurance policies in the market (Canadian and London).
  • Attend client meetings to maintain and build relationships, articulate BFL's gotomarket strategy, present renewal terms and seize crossselling opportunities with our risk advisory team.
  • Gather client information to enable renewal negotiations.
  • Review client's cyber maturity with the help of the team to determine if the file is ready for the market. If not, work with the cyber risk advisory team to sell services that will help the client improve some keys controls.
  • Maintain and update insurance market updates.

placements tracking, benchmarking report, etc.

  • Actively participate in the cyber deal desk triage.
  • Provide market insights and placement strategies to clients and colleagues
  • Develop solutions to result in improved client outcomes and retention.
  • Maintain strategic relationships with insurance carrier partners and negotiate appropriate risk transfer solutions based on individual client risk profile.
  • Build an (internal) network to source opportunities and new client's engagements
  • Build and expand technical knowledge of Cyber security and/or Cyber risk management
  • 02 Years of experience in an insurance environment, cyber insurance experience is an asset
  • Degree in Cybersecurity, finance or related field
  • Broker's Licence issued by the 'AMF' or willing to obtain.
  • Understanding of basic cybersecurity controls and key controls to be able to access the Cyber insurance market, an asset.
  • Excellent analytical and written skills and high standards of presentation.
  • Bilingual with strong verbal and written communication skills in French and in English.
  • Good knowledge of the MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook and Word)
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
