JOB TEXT:

Duties:

This is standard manual work relating to the maintenance and repair of a school building and the operation and maintenance of equipment, including some mechanical, electrical and plumbing duties.

Work also involved overseeing building security; upkeep of grounds, including snow clearing; janitorial duties and supervising other janitorial staff assigned to the work site.

Employees have a primary responsibility for the use of proper methods and procedures for the caring, upkeep and cleaning for building and equipment with mínimal supervision through a well-established schedule.

Requirements:

Successful applicants must possess basic carpentry, plumbing and electrical skills and be familiar with the requirements of various inspections as it related to school buildings.

Applicants must also have completed a High School Diploma (or equivalent) and have WHMIS 2015 certification. Preference will be given to applicants with janitorial experience as this position will also include janitorial duties.
