Description
Assist in developing and executing Human Resources procedures and policies, providing guidance and interpretation for business operations- Develop, prepare and implement improved employee onboarding processes with collaboration with crossfunctional departments
- Assist in administering benefits, compensation, and employee performance programs for union ad nonunion employees
- Provide an effective and dedicated HR advisory service to employees in relation to absence and health issues, conduct and capability, grievance matters, organizational changes and all other employeerelations matters
- Ensure compliance of HR provincial and federal regulations and applicable employment laws, and update policies and/or procedures as required
- Suggest new procedures and policies to continually improve efficiency of the HR department and organization as a whole, and to improve the employee experience
- Assist the HR team in implementing company programs and projects to increase morale, provide a positive employee experience and to support the organizations growth and development
- Complete daytoday HR related tasks.
- Respond to internal and external HR related inquires or requests and provide assistance.
- Maintaining records of personnelrelated data in both paper and the database and ensure all employment requirements are met.
- Ensure and/or advise on compliance with labour regulations and the applicable union collective bargaining agreement
Qualifications
- Must have a postgraduate diploma in Human Resources with at least 3 years experience
- Have CHRP or CHRL designation or be CHRP qualified
- Exceptional communication and problemsolving skills. Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Senior's care or health care experience is a definite asset
- Ability to build relationship at all levels of the organization and the union
- Knowledge in Microsoft Suite
- Knowledge of the employment legislation including Employment Standards Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Human Rights and AODA
