Expeditor / Parts Runner
Job Summary:
Responsibilities:
- Monitor the production schedule and identify critical parts requiring expedited handling.
- Hand delivers critical parts from one process to another, ensuring their timely movement and minimizing
- Collaborate closely with production supervisors and operators to prioritize and expedite critical parts as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of part movement and update the database or tracking system accordingly.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel to create detailed reports on part flow, production efficiency, and other relevant metrics.
- Attend daily meetings to provide updates on the status of critical parts, production delays, and any relevant
- Proactively identify bottlenecks or potential delays in the production process and take appropriate actions to
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all safety guidelines and regulations.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a machine shop or production environment is essential.
- Fluent in both French and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure accurate tracking of critical parts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create reports and analyze data.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proactive problemsolving skills to identify and resolve issues that may impact production flow.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
- Familiarity with quality control processes and procedures.
- High level of professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality.
