The Director, Supportive Housing will oversee the coordination and administration of the Supportive Housing Department, including planning, organizing, staffing, leading, and assessing according to the strategic direction set by the Vice President, Supportive Housing and Program Development.

The Director, Supportive Housing is expected to bring high-level consideration and long-term thinking to internal and external processes, challenges, and opportunities, and is expected to work collaboratively with the leadership team.

_ Strategic Planning:
_


  • Evaluates shortand longterm program needs and leads the development and implementation of solutions.
  • Working with the VP, Supportive Housing and Program Development, develops new initiatives and maintains existing services for the Supportive Housing Portfolio including Community Home for Opportunities, MOH supplements, and Youth Housing Services to support the strategic direction of the organization consistent with best practices.
  • Works with VP, Supportive Housing and Program Development to determine the best use of MOH Supportive Housing supplements to ensure housing is sustainable, create opportunities, and ensure movement across the housing continuum for individuals we serve.
  • Works with the VP, Supportive Housing and Program Development to establish a positive, healthy, and safe work environment in accordance with all appropriate legislation and regulations.

_ Program Development & Implementation:
_


  • Develops the overall plan for each specific Supportive Housing program
  • Develops program outcome goals and indicators as well as evaluation mechanisms to ensure each housing program meets needs of individualsserved, agency and Ministry standards and or Municipal standards.
  • Establishes and implements internal operational policies, guidelines and procedures.
  • When requested by the VP, Supportive Housing and Program Development, undertakes the planning, implementation, execution, and evaluation of special projects.
  • Develops new initiatives and effective management of a variety of Supportive housing programs and services to support the strategic direction of the organization.
  • Develops, implements, and analyzes short
- and long-term goals and objectives to achieve the successful outcome of the programs.

  • Develops and oversees the delivery of CMHA TVAMHS's supportive housing initiatives within its catchment area.
  • Develops and oversees housing program budgets, ensuring that staffing costs, maintenance expenses, and larger capital costs are managed.
  • Develops service delivery models for a variety of supportive housing programs.
  • Provides oversight on program standards, using evidenceinformed practice.

_ Program Evaluation:
_


  • Works collaboratively with the VP, Supportive Housing and Program Development and the Director of System Performance to develop program outcome indicators and utilize metrics to assess and drive performance, ensuring objectives are met
  • Devises evaluation strategies in collaboration with Director of System Performance to monitor performance of each housing program and determine the need for improvements.
  • Uses data collection tools to capture program performance and results, including data reporting, baseline and assessment, analysis and monitoring for process and outcome evaluations.

_ Quality Assurance:
_


  • Ensures that program activities comply with all relevant legislation, accreditation, and professional standards.
  • Establishes processes to ensure the quality of the daytoday delivery of programs and services; evaluate program activities and effectiveness to maintain or improve quality.
  • Ensures the delivery of services for each program operate within the policies and procedures of the organization.
  • Identifies and assesses current environmental trends and best practices; utilizes this information to develop new initiatives or implement changes within the program.
  • Ensures principles of evidencebased practices, such as Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR), trauma and violenceinformed, etc. are followed in each program.
  • Prepares monthly reports to the VP, Supportive Housing and Program Development and other reports as required and ensure all required documentation and statistics are maintained.
