Position Information:


Reporting to the Manager, Compensation, Classification, & Workforce Compliance, the Compensation and Classification Analyst assists in the development, implementation, communication and administration of compensation and classification related programs.

This position is temporary for approximately one year.


Rotation/Shifts:

Days, 8 hour shifts.


What you will do:


  • Ensure the maintenance of the integrity of our compensation and classification structure in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS);
  • Support various compensationrelated initiatives through the provision of reports, statistics and analysis;
  • Support the development and maintenance of job descriptions and classifications, and ensure internal equity and Pay Equity compliance;
  • Participate in the job evaluation process for all employee groups and liaise with union groups on classification and compensation related matters;
  • Participate in the coordination of salary and other pay increases;
  • Participate in small to largescale compensationrelated projects;
  • Ensure that salary administration guidelines are followed;
  • Respond to salary surveys and analyze survey results.

What you will bring:


  • Threeyear community college diploma in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field;
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience working in a Human Resources Department or similar environment;
  • Familiarity with job descriptions and compensation structures;
  • Knowledge of Collective Agreements;
  • Ability to manage databases and to develop charts, tables and graphs;
  • Experience with data analytics and working with Human Resources Information Systems (PeopleSoft, SAP, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills;
  • Excellent organization skills;
  • Client serviceoriented and capable of managing competing priorities/meeting tight deadlines.
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing needs and timelines.

You will stand out with:


  • Experience working in a complex, unionized environment;
  • Experience working in healthcare or a health related environment;
  • Proficiency in English and French oral expression (advanced level) and comprehension (advanced level).
