Position Summary


This position will be located within the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre at SmartLiving's newest development, _The Millway._ This 460+ rental apartment community will feature rental suites that accommodate different lifestyles and budgets, host resort-quality amenities, and offer an elevated service experience through technology and lifestyle programming.


Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for greeting and welcoming guests
  • Act as the point of reference for guests who need assistance or information and attend to their wishes and requirements
  • Understand residents' needs and provide them with personalized solutions by suggesting activities and facilities available on site and in the local area
  • Acquire extensive knowledge of the premises in addition to nearby venues and businesses to make the most suitable recommendations
  • Arrange events, excursions, transportation etc. upon request from residents
  • Answer the phone and make reservations for building facilities
  • Assist for onsite events and amenity bookings
  • Promote PenguinPickUp services
  • Communicate with housekeeping and maintenance departments
  • Manage mail, luggage, deliveries, and messages for residents
  • Develop and expand a network of contacts within the community
  • Arrange secretarial and other office services
  • Ensure orderliness and safety guidelines around the lobby and front door areas
  • Promote a strong sense of community by maintaining an overall focus on enhancing the customer experience
  • Professionally and courteously handle all inquiries, feedback, complaints, or concerns from residents (current and prospective) and follow up accordingly
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Experience:


  • Must possess a professional presentation
  • Outstanding guest services skills and sophisticated verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and problemsolving abilities
  • Highly responsible and reliable
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fastpaced environment
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of people and interests while being culturally aware
  • High degree of initiative, agility, creativity, and flexibility
  • High degree of diplomacy, integrity, discretion, and confidentiality

Academic/Professional Requirements:


  • 2+ years of concierge experience at a highvolume property
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Yardi is considered an asset
  • Completion of hospitality degree or diploma is considered an asset
