knowledge and professional experience working with persons with brain injuries, mental health disabilities, and challenging behaviors preferred
- effective oral and written communication skills
- calming personality; not overly reactive in stressful situations
- experience managing person centered program supports, including positive behavior support strategies / techniques - experience managing person-centered program supports, including positive behavior support strategies/techniques
- experience using communication styles and/or augmentative communication systems
- ability to work cooperatively and effectively with agency staff, families and other gov't/community agencies to plan, develop, coordinate and support programs
- effective leadership skills to provide oversight, guidance and support to team members
- ability to prioritize, respond to multiple demands, and manage time efficiently
