Hours: 37.5 Hours - Mon to Fri

Location:
Alberni Office - Hybrid (2 days in office)

About the role
As a Health Benefits Assessor, you will - Review, assesses and adjudicates First Nation Health Benefits requests. Including processing payments and client reimbursements.

You will conduct and provide analysis/recommendations regarding exceptions and appeals; program information to key stakeholders and maintain records and systems.


About you
To be Successful in this role you will have:

  • Grade 12, including completion of one year of post-secondary education, plus one (1) year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Knowledge of First Nations social, health, economic, and political issues
  • Conflict resolution skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Knowledge of data entry, manipulation, and retrieval techniques using a variety of automated systems and software
