About us
Cash Casino LP was recently acquired by a new ownership group and is undertaking a transformation and modernization of its casino businesses located in Calgary and Red Deer.
Current locations include Ace Casino Red Deer, Ace Casino Blackfoot and the brand-new Ace Casino Airport located on the Calgary International Airport campus.
The Position
The Surveillance Operator will play a major role in monitoring all gaming standards within the casino and ensuring all fraudulent or illegal activity is reported and investigated.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Utilize surveillance equipment to observe, record and report on; gaming activity, cash pulls and counts, suspicious activity, liability concerns and illegal activity on Ace casino property.
- Report and investigate all illegal activity and/or activities that are in violation of casino policies and procedures or criminal code of conduct.
- Maintain safety for guests and staff, while acting as a first point of contact during emergency situations and notifying management as necessary.
- Ability to conduct self in a professional manner, protect confidential/sensitive information, maintain selfcontrol under adverse and stressful conditions.
- Work closely with various departments to ensure that the casino is running smoothly.
- Assume role as Anti-Money Laundering Administrator.
- Prepare casino for opening and closing daily.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- A minimum of high school or equivalent (GED). Certificate/Diploma/Degree in Criminology, Policing Studies, or related legal field is preferred.
- Must obtain clear criminal record check and AGLC gaming license prior to start.
- Must obtain current certifications in; Deal Us In phase #1, Deal Us In phase #2, ProTect, ProServe, Anti-Money Laundering (AML).
- High level of individual integrity, accountability, and responsibility, as well as collaboration and customer service.
- Desire to follow procedures and protect the Company and the public.
Qualifications:
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
- Must demonstrate good verbal and written communication using English language.
- At least one (1) year of previous loss prevention or surveillance experience is an asset.
- Experience in table games and casino terms and conditions are an asset.
- Welldeveloped interpersonal, problem solving, conflict resolution and communication skills.
- Excellent observation skills with strong attention to detail.
- Must have the ability to multitask and prioritize security needs.
- Must be motivated and willing to learn.
