Reporting to the Director of Faculty Development, the Development Coordinator, Faculties is an essential member of the Development team, providing program implementation and coordination to development programs in one or more faculties and building relationships both internally and externally for UVic.
The incumbent will conduct initial prospect research, support the planning of cultivation and solicitation strategies, support donor relations and stewardship activities, assist with fundraising projects, draft communications and correspondence, collaborate on alumni relations activities as required and support data management and the maintenance of digital records.
This role will be required to work independently and demonstrate a high level of initiative while being in a dynamic team environment where flexibility and multi-tasking is essential.
About the Faculties:
This Coordinator role will support work of the Senior Development Officers in the Faculty of Social Sciences and the Division of Student Affairs equally.

About the position:
The Development Coordinator, Faculties will have responsibility for projects designed to cultivate major gifts, such as:
- Participating in on-going fundraising planning, practice, and process development
- Supporting the Senior Development Officers with moves management processes
- Drafting and editing donor/prospect correspondence and solicitation materials
- Coordinating and providing support for and participating in donor cultivation and stewardship events, and donor/prospect visits, on and off campus
- Developing and maintaining a deep understanding and expert use of the University's donor and alumni database
- Drafting donor communications such as thank you letters and personal impact reports
