Contractor, Overdraft and Loss Mitigation Strategy


What is the opportunity?
RBC is hiring a contractor, Overdraft and Loss Mitigation for Portfolio Management and Credit Strategy team. You are responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of the Collections and Overdraft strategies. This entails the activities of development, implementation, monitoring and optimization of the strategies.

You will be liaising with the Operations team as well as, the modeling team to develop cost optimized Collections and Triage strategies and implement them.


What will you do?

  • Develop Overdraft, Collections and Triage strategy for multiple Retail, Business and Commercial lending portfolio
  • Performance monitoring and reporting for relevant customer segments, enabling actionable insight for key stakeholders, including Group Risk Management
  • Crossfunctional stakeholder management of Operations and GRM teams
  • Monitor changes in portfolio risk to proactively identify upcoming stress with respect to Collections

What do you need to succeed?

Must-haves

  • 37 years' experience with performing advanced analytics for lending products, ideally in portfolio management or collections
  • Strong knowledge of data querying tools such as SAS, SQL, MS Access etc. In particular, advanced skills in SAS are required.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated track record of thought leadership
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate a compelling business case to business partners

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA, and/or undergraduate degree in Economics, Statistics or other quantitative field of study
  • Prior experience in Collections
