Under the direction of the Manager, Asset Management, the Asset Analyst (Student) will identify data requirements related to inspection, operations, rehabilitation, and condition assessment of municipal assets including roads, watermains, bridges, sidewalks, facilities and parks.

The Asset Analyst (Student) will also participate in meetings, provide support to the Asset Management Specialists and collaborate with other Town departments as required.

To be eligible, youth must meet the following eligibility requirements:
_
- be between 15 and 30 years of age
at the beginning of the employment period*;
- be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment**; and,
- have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations

  • Currently enrolled in collegelevel program in engineering or technology, or a university degree in computer science, geography, engineering, environmental science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have experience using Geography Information Systems (Esri, ArcGIS preferred).
  • Experience building excel models an asset.
  • Experience with empirical data collection.
  • Experience working with construction drawings or mapping of buried pipes is beneficial.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Keen attention to detail, highly selfmotivated/directed, proven analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fastpaced environment.
  • Good communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work with mínimal supervision and in a team oriented and collaborative environment.
  • Ability to absorb and retain information quickly and be able to present ideas in userfriendly language.
  • Class G driver's license in good standing and a reliable vehicle to use while on corporate business an asset.
