We are currently seeking an experienced
Production Coordinator to schedule and coordinate our daily production requirements.

This position is critical in nature for the continued success of our day-to-day operations. Only qualified individuals will be considered._

The Production Coordinator reports directly to the Plant Manager.

He/she will be responsible for creating and implementing the daily production output schedules in coordination with material stock and vendor orders.

Combination of administrative and physical plant/production floor presence.

Experience in food manufacturing plant is considered an asset, but willing to train the right individual. Must be available to work Monday - Friday (40/hrs per week).


Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Daily production planning and scheduling to fulfil all incoming orders.
  • Maintain healthy and appropriate stock levels based on seasonal/customer order trends.
  • Create, update, and assist the Management team with schedule analysis and forecast.
  • Work with supervisors, both on and off the production floor, to ensure that production schedules are completed in a safe, yet efficient manner.
  • Brainstorm effective solutions to reduce inefficiencies and maximize/streamline production output.
  • Monitor actual materials output versus the master production plan. Identify gaps and drive solutions.
  • Assist in identifying and providing solutions for aged, quarantined, or off spec materials.
  • Respond to and facilitate production shortages, damaged materials, and liaison with Sales team to ensure output meets customer demand (promos, product listings).
  • Conduct various yield/labor studies to ensure current costing is accurate.
  • Support month end (finished goods) inventory counts.
  • Double check/revise daily material counts for complete accuracy and documentation.

Skills:


  • Demonstrated ability to complete scheduling with high level of accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Critical thinking, problem solving, working under pressure, ability to adapt to unforeseen circumstances (ie. material/staff shortages, equipment breakdowns, urgent short notice orders).
  • Expertise in computer ERP systems. Preference will be given to those with experience in Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
  • Experience in analysis studies, research and development, production yields.
  • Minimum of 80WPM data entry with high level of accuracy.
  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Education/Experience:


  • Minimum 2 years' experience in production scheduling. Preference will be given to those within the food manufacturing industry.
  • Experience in fast paced environment considered an asset.
  • Minimum 1 year in an authoritative position ie. Supervisory, Management
  • Vocational diploma/certificate or equivalent in Business Management or Supply Chain Management.

Other Information:

Shift: 7:30AM - 4:00PM(Monday to Friday)

To be negotiated based on qualification and experience
