Description:
The Fitness Leader - Strength & Condition Specialist is responsible for providing a high quality, strength and conditioning specific group fitness programs for athletes of all levels, abilities and ages with emphasis on building speed, strength, power and agility as well as coaching safe exercise techniques while providing exceptional customer service and communication with internal stakeholders.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in exercise science, biomechanics, kinesiology, or related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must possess a current NASM, CSCS,CSCA, or equivalent certification form a reputable institute.
- Current First Aid Level 1, CPR C & AED certification
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check
- Extensive experience working with elite and everyday athletes of all ages in a sports and performance capacity.
- Experience conducting assessments and using data to inform program decisions.
- Proficiency in designing and implementing evidencebased training programs.
- Livedexperience as a highlevel athlete, or involvement in highlevel sport considered an asset.
- Indepth knowledge of biomechanics, exercise physiology, athletic therapy, and sports nutrition.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire athletes.
- Ability to work collaboratively with coaching staff, athletic trainers, and medical professionals.
- Passion for sports performance and a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
- Demonstrates ability to safely and effectively lead and facilitate various levels of ability
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, including days, afternoon, evenings, weekday and weekends as required for operational requirements.
