WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR?:


Reporting to the Manager, Field Marketing, this position will be responsible for the execution of field marketing tasks as well as providing support to the volunteer program up to and during the week of the 2024 National Bank Open presented by Rogers.


Promotions Coordination:

  • Assist with the management of all on site promotions
  • Assist with the coordination of partnerships and sponsorships to maximize promotional opportunities
  • Distribute promotional material (posters, brochures, etc.) to clubs and camps within the GTA
  • Develop critical paths and action plans for each promotional activity for in event use
  • Perform day to day administrative support related to marketing and promotions
  • Work with Ops to coordinate all daily signage needs for promotion activations
  • Assist with the management and maintenance of the promotions area during event
  • Schedule and manage promotions volunteer program
  • Manage volunteers assigned to your specific promotions
  • Coordinate setup and dismantle of all onsite promotions
  • Develop an executive promotions report that tracks all promotions information post event

Family Weekend Coordination:

  • Manage the operations of Family Weekend during the event
  • Provide all tennis clubs and camps with Family Weekend promotional kits
  • Coordinate and supervise Family Weekend setup prior to the event
  • Coordinate all Family Weekend signage needs
  • Work directly with Account Executives and associated sponsors to ensure all sponsor needs are met
  • Ensure equipment/entertainment bookings in advance of Family Weekend
  • Coordinate all equipment/power/storage/ needs etc.
  • Coordinate Tennis Pros
  • Develop rain plan
  • Coordinate player participation
  • Develop welcome program to greet families
  • Organize any additional promotions connected with Family Weekend
  • Oversee the tear down of all Family Weekend items following the day and ensure safe return of all Family Weekend items

WHO YOU ARE?:


  • Bachelors Degree in business or marketing (sports marketing preferred) or equivalent experience
  • 12 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a marketing, promotions and/or event management
  • Highly motivated and a team player
  • Creative thinking and high level of adaptability and prioritization
  • Strong organizational, timemanagement and projectmanagement skills
  • Ability to work wit a team as well as independently, ability to take initiative
  • Possess leadership skills and a strong desire to meet and exceed expectations
  • Strong communications skills, both written and oral
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Passionate and selfmotivated with a winning and positive attitude
  • French as a 2nd language is an asset

WORKING CONDITIONS:


  • Fixed term contract from May 1, 2024 to August 23, 202
  • Office hours are Monday to Friday 9:00am5:00pm
  • Some evening and weekend work is required and extended hours will occur during the National Bank Open presented by Rogers
