2 ‐ Casual ‐ Medical Radiation Technologist

Diagnostic Imaging ‐ CT Scanner
Reporting to the Charge Technologist of their area, the Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) or Diagnostic Medical

Sonographer (DMS) in Diagnostic Imaging performs medical imaging procedures to aid in patient diagnosis or

treatment within the regulatory standards of practice.

Delivery of patient care and professional practice is consistent with the scope of practice of the MRT as defined by

the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario (CMRTO), the Philosophy and Values of the Hospital and

the policies and procedures of the Hospital.


EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Registered with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario
  • Current BCLS (as required by policy)
  • Must successfully complete radiation or MRI safety courses as identified by manager on an annual basis
  • Regular and sustained attendance
  • Knowledge of, and adherence to the Hospital's Code of Conduct
  • Previous CT scan experience is an asset
  • Some cross‐sectional anatomy courses
  • Competency in IV contrast injections
  • Basic computer skills

Salary Range:
$33.650 to 45.110
