What we do

Benmet Steel & Metal is a
leader in the Canadian scrap and recycling industry located in the heart of Guelph, ON.

We are one of the most established and reputable independent scrap metal processors in Ontario. We are looking for motivated individuals to join our growing team.

Your role will consist of a variety of tasks including:

The focus will be on commodity supply payables and receivables
Ensuring customer data is inputted timely and accurately
Create, issue, and follow up directly on invoices to clients
Manage account contracts to ensure correct pricing and contract fulfillment
Fielding any customer inquiries and requests
Work with new customers and vendors to accurately onboard them in the system
Reporting for management, trading and accounting
Interacting between multiple departments as you assist the trading, operations and accounting teams

Requirements:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
24 years customer service or business environment considered an asset
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Comfortable with routinely shifting demands
Flexibility and multitasking are critical to the success of this position
High degree of attention to detail and efficient typing skills
Data entry experience, computer literate and comfortable using multiple systems
Working knowledge of general office equipment
