Responsibilities:
The Finance Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of the finance office within the YWCA Regina and will work collaboratively to support the finance team in achieving their goals and objectives by: - Creating and implementing innovative, efficient, and effective data management tools including form creation and updates;

  • Completing ongoing reconciliations and coordinating with other departments to ensure subledgers are maintained accurately;
  • Collaborating with the Sr. Director of Finance and Manager of Finance to develop, implement, communicate and maintain the policies, systems, and processes necessary to ensure the finance department is operating efficiently and effectively and achieving desired outcomes;
  • Supporting the finance team, specifically the Sr. Director of Finance and Manager of Finance through the provision of accurate information for audits and reporting requirements as requested;
  • Providing finance training and guidance to other areas of the YWCA Regina;
  • Administering the company credit card including setup and termination of employee accounts, monthly reconciliation, and recording of transactions;
  • Creating, updating, and/or maintaining financial spreadsheets, reconciliations, and reports;
  • Providing backup and support to the finance team as required including accounts payable or receivable, online payment processing, data entry;
  • Supporting the finance team in ensuring the integrity, consistency, and timeliness of data;
  • Completing specific projects and other related duties as requested;

Requirements:
The Finance Coordinator will be required to complete a Criminal Record Check, hold a high school diploma, and will ideally possess the following additional qualifications: - Demonstrated understanding of accounting and administrative practices and procedures including accounts receivable/payable;

  • Ability to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently;
  • Ability to effectively communicate and build relationships with staff who are physically located in different workplaces;
  • Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize workloads, and meet set deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in all areas of work;
  • Proficient communication, interpersonal and organizational skills;
  • Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 Office Applications including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Planner, and Forms;
  • Knowledge of Sage 300 is an asset;
  • Working from a feminist, antioppressive/antiracist perspective.
