Our salary structure is aligned with the Government of Canada's prevailing wages for Audiologists. Median wages for Audiologists in the Wood Buffalo - Cold Lake Region of Alberta are $72,500 CAD.

Position Description:
An estimated 3 million Canadians are hearing-impaired, and that number will continue to rise with our aging population. Amplifonis afast growing,multinational company, expanding our Canadian market. We are now looking for the next generation ofAudiologists to take on this challenge.

The Audiologist is responsible for providing assessment, consultation and rehabilitation services for our clients who are experiencing auditory or vestibular disorders.

You help customers understand the conditions of their hearing and provide counsel to them on hearing aid devices and rehabilitation tactics that will address their hearing needs.

You stay up to date on the latest technology, medical advancements, and testing procedures to ensure you are providing the highest level of care to our customers.


Responsibilities:


  • Diagnose, evaluate and treat individuals with peripheral and central hearing loss, tinnitus, and balance problems
  • Administer audiometric tests and examinations using specialized instruments and electronic equipment
  • Convert data from audiometer or other testing equipment into standardized audiometric results
  • Evaluate and implement amplification for hearing aids for patients, including selection, fitting, molding and adjustment.
  • Counsel patients on the selection of hearing aid devices and educate them on hearing aid technology
  • Educate and counsel patients and family members on the nature, extent, and impact of the hearing loss and treatment to ensure care plan continuity
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and patient documentation internally and with external interdisciplinary care teams
  • Collaborate with clinic team to manage an efficient clinic and schedule
  • Continue to develop professionally through attending continuing education opportunities and reading professional publications. Review new or special testing techniques and products.
  • May provide clinical support for marketing initiatives or mentorship for students
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:


  • A Master's degree in Audiology and 1+ year of experience
  • Must be registered and a member in good standing with the Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists, or able to obtain licensure and membership within six months of employment.
  • Extensive knowledge of a wide range of hearing instruments,
  • Customercentric, selfdriven, and detailoriented professional,
  • Advanced computer skills to program digital hearing instruments,
  • Analytical skills to provide accurate diagnostics,
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build trust and relationships with customers, colleagues, and vendors.
