The purpose of the New Accounts Associate is to deliver high levels of customer satisfaction at the Questrade Centre (QC) by providing an outstanding in-person experience.

Our commitment is to create long term customer relationships and turn every visitor into a Questrade promoter.

What's it like working as a New Accounts Associate at Questrade:

The New Accounts Associate is a highly responsible and motivated individual who is confident in our products and services, is committed to delivering a "We Care" customer experience, and is driven by helping Canadians become financially successful.


The New Accounts Associate will work closely with every customer that visits the retail office and determine their unique financial needs and provide them with customized solutions.


First impressions are key, therefore another key responsibility of our New Accounts Associate is maintaining the presentation of the entire retail office i.e.

the sales floor, office stationery and equipment, and ensuring the Marketing collateral is up to date and in stock.


As the face of Questrade, the New Accounts Associate remains one of the first points of contact to customer feedback, experiences, and competitor offerings.

Therefore, the New Accounts Associate will have the ongoing opportunity to provide feedback and competitive insights to better our business development and meet the needs of our customers.


The associate will also be expected to regularly host, present and attend live financial services events during and after normal working hours, and occasionally may include weekends.


What you'll be doing:


  • Work with customers to identify their needs while highlighting our product (s) and service (s) that can help them achieve their financial goals
  • Comfortable with handling and resolving escalated situations and can provide resultsoriented solutions to increase customer satisfaction
  • Able to overcome obstacles with strong negotiation skills
  • Deliver "We Care" customer experiences to help broaden and deepen our customer relationships
  • Strong communication skills and able to present in front of a large group of people comfortably and confidently
  • Be an expert on Questrade products, services and the account opening process
  • Educate customers on other products and services to help add value and bring them closer to achieving their financial goals
  • Be knowledgeable on registered accounts; including TFSAs, RRSPs and RIFs
  • Be an expert in stock and options trading, and securities regulations
  • Develop business strategies to increase learning centre traffic
  • Strong organizational skills, able to maintain outstanding office condition and visual presentation standards
  • Complete office administration duties and ensure compliance with policies and procedures
  • Act as a point of contact for organization and support of all QC events and seminars
  • Work closely with other departments (i.e. Operations, CSS) to improve operational efficiencies
  • Create and document process guides, with full adherence
  • Participate in regular Sales department meetings
  • Participate in the planning of Sales initiatives
  • Back up other team functions as business requires
