They share a mission; to harness the widespread use of mobile phones to improve patient management & engagement in care (mHealth), and use strong scientific methods to guide and validate digital health solutions in order to achieve maximal health benefits and save lives._


WelTel is offering an outstanding opportunity for an exceptional graduate (or individual with equivalent work experience) with a passion for global health.

We are looking for someone who will be able to support the management of business compliance including related healthcare information security and privacy policies.

Additionally this role will work with the executive team to support best practices in administration and planning.

Working closely with the co-founders, business strategist and other team members, the qualified "Compliance facilitator and Administrator " will have an opportunity for an ongoing work placement should both parties agree on fit and suitability.


This individual should have great attention to detail, be self-motivated, pragmatic, outgoing and friendly, passionate and hard-working, be solutions-oriented and able to think creatively and out of the box.

Having excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills is important for this position. Our goal is simple, to improve health and save lives. Our commitment is that no person is left behind.


Length of Term: 3 months probation with opportunity for FTE if both parties agree.


WelTel's digital health platform is currently deployed in 10 countries and has supported over one hundred thousand patients to date.

The company is transitioning from its origins as an academic spin-off to a service that improves outcomes in everything including chronic disease, mental health, pediatric cardiology, workplace wellness and many more.

We are specifically looking for someone to help us grow our unique mission-driven business to ensure better access for more patients around the world.

As a lean start-up, we need someone who can work efficiently and effectively.


Responsibilities:
Compliance Facilitator


  • Ensuring compliance with WelTel's policies and standards.
  • Coordinating with regulatory authorities and inspectors (and internally) regarding compliance requests; coordinating with Human Resources regarding policy rollouts and mandated regulatory policy reviews; coordinating with operations on records for regulatory compliance
  • Development and implementation of compliance policies, standards and practices
  • Management of the compliance schedule
  • Regular and periodic reviews to ensure compliance
  • Identification, curation, review, judgment of evidence supporting compliance reviews
  • Identification and escalation of noncompliance
  • Management of the enterprise risk registry and supporting processes
  • Maintain appropriate filing systems; organize the heck out of the company Google Drive
  • Other administrative duties as required

Responsibilities:
Administration


  • Maintaining uptodate WelTel contract lists that include date of contract renewals, payment schedules etc
  • Submit and reconcile expense reports from time to time; work with bookkeeper and CEO to help manage budgets, invoicing, bank reconciliations etc; and support creation of financial reports
  • Assume responsibility of office equipment inventory; maintain office supplies
  • Assume other duties as requested by Executive Management

Skills and Requirements (Preferred backgrounds/requirements)

  • Well organized, detail oriented
  • Exceptional communication skills including written and verbal; you will be required to compose, edit and proofread various documents
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Confident, professional and self motivated
  • A strong team player
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Preferred experience as an administrative assistant
  • Preferred understanding of IT processes

Salary:
$19.00-$25.00 per hour


Flexible Language Requirement:

  • French not required

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

COVID-19 considerations:
This position is on hospital grounds.

Employees will be required to wear a mask when entering the building and will need to submit proof of vaccination.


Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Vancouver, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:


  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

Experience:


  • Administrative: 2 years (preferred)
  • Compliance facilitation: 1 year (preferred)
