Role Details- As a leadership volunteer, you will be part of our committees of 10 to 15 volunteers who will work over the months to help us organize our fundraising events. Depending on the needs in your community, available roles could include committee lead, logistics, community outreach, volunteer lead, and social media.

- The Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure is a 5k or 1k walk or run.
- This year's event will be taking place on Sunday, October 6, 2024.
Site Lead, you will be responsible for:
- Booking the venue and all logístical suppliers working with your Run Director, Logistics, and staff partner.
- Creating a site plan for event day.
- Executing set up and tear down on event weekend.
- Overseeing all site tasks on event day.
- It is the largest singleday, volunteerled event in Canada in support of the breast cancer cause.

- Your commitment
- This is a 6month commitment (May through October).
- Attending local committee meetings (generally biweekly to monthly).
- Independent role work/responsibilities (approx. 24 hours per month).
- Must be available over the event weekend (October 5 & October 6).
