WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?


The Social Media Specialist will be responsible for managing the company's online and social media presence on various platforms-such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram-with the objective of creating and executing social media strategies that align with the Company's marketing goals and increase brand awareness and engagement.

The position will manage external and internal social media strategies for Company locations in the U.S. and Canada.

The role facilitates how the Company connects with current and prospective employees and external audiences through online platforms.

The Social Media Specialist will work closely with peers from Communications and other operating units and departments to collect and share Company news that informs, engages and inspires internal and external stakeholders.


WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Create and curate content that is relevant, interesting, and informative for target audiences. Includes soliciting from internal operating units and departments as well as sharing or repurposing content from industry associations and other likeminded organizations.
  • Collaborate with Company operating units and departments to deliver cohesive brand messaging and portray the Company's value propositions across all platforms.
  • Manage an editorial content calendar comprising holidays and other key dates important to the Company and the industry.
  • Manage official social media channels for Company businesses. Migrate users from unofficial pages and shut down old channels.
  • Establish online affiliations with Company businesses and likeminded organizations.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

  • Excellent English and French written and verbal communication skills preferred. Fluency in French and English is preferred to ensure that the tone and message are accurate and appropriate for the audience. Understanding of Quebec French Language laws
  • Demonstrated ability working as part of a Communications or Marketing function.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful social media strategies.
  • Experience with creating and managing social media advertising campaigns.
  • At least two years of experience in social media management or a similar role.
  • Familiarity with social media analytics and metrics in order to generate reports to track and grow communities.
  • Experience using one or more media management/publishing tools.
  • Some basic demonstrated knowledge of graphics and video editing tools.
  • Prior B2B communications and/or construction industry experience a plus
