We are currently seeking a

Quantitative Research Analyst Intern to join our Quantitative Equity team based in Vancouver for a 3- or 4-month period. We combine leading edge quantitative research with state-of-the-art technology to develop our unique algorithmic investment strategies. To achieve this long-term objective, we have in place an internship program that is designed to help develop individuals who are considering a career in quantitative investment management at CCL over the long term.


What You Will Do


The intern will work closely with the Research and Portfolio Management groups to carry out projects that are related to our investment process.

This opportunity is ideally suited to an individual who:

  • Is seeking to explore and build a career over the long term in the field of quantitative investment management with a focus on quantitative research and portfolio management
You will work with key decision makers on the team and have a broad range of responsibilities which include:

  • Carry out projects to develop and enhance our investment process
  • Actively communicate with members of the Quantitative Equity team to leverage relevant expertise and experience
  • Participate in regular Quantitative Equity team meeting

What You Bring

  • A degree (or pursuit thereof) in mathematics, statistics, quantitative finance, computer science, machine learning, econometrics, engineering, or related discipline
  • Exceptional analytical skills and ability to think critically and creatively
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate clearly and effectively in formal and informal settings
  • Understanding of equity markets and analysis of financial statements
  • Experience analyzing and working with large and disparate datasets considered an asset
  • Plan or desire to pursue the CFA Program considered an asset
