STATUS:
Contract, 12 Months

We are looking for a passionate and resourceful, career minded person to join our team and offer best in class service as an Associate Underwriter on our Commercial Insurance team.

Summary of Role & Responsibilities:

Provide exceptional service to your assigned brokers alongside the Production & Portfolio Underwriters with respect to new business, renewals, endorsements, cancellations, certificates, etc.
Assess risks, underwrite and process at a level of moderate risk for policy changes and renewals
Operate department phone queue
Record underwriting info for the purpose of evaluation, assessment, audit & profitability
Identify opportunities to support Unica's strategy and analyze and report identified trends to management
Other duties as required

Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:

A detail oriented and analytical thinker
Selfmotivated, innovative and naturally enthusiastic
Strong communicator in all varieties (written, verbal and presentation skills)
Excellent time management skills in order to prioritize and meet deadlines
Proficient in Microsoft Office products
Exceptional phone etiquette
Must be flexible with hours of work as required

Education and Experience:

University/College degree
CIP/CRM obtained or working towards one or both of these designations
