Accounts Receivable Specialist
based in Dartmouth, NS.**
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collection of accounts receivable, meeting company set guidelines for >60 days and >90 days, flagging accounts to Supervisor before they become an issue
- Ensure receipt of payment from accounts as per contract terms and conditions
- Reconciliation of customer accounts
- Respond to customer inquiries within 24 hours of inquiry
- Provide support for various audit requests
- Interact with customers, billing, pricing and operations for resolution of unapplied payments and other discrepancies
- Maintenance of file storage for audit purposes
- Prepare weekly, monthly and ad hoc reports for internal and external stakeholders, leveraging large amounts of data where required.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Postsecondary education in a related field or equivalent work experience
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and ability to learn new software quickly
- Strong communication skills verbal and written
- Excellent organization and time
- Well organized, detail oriented and a proven ability to work well in a fastpaced, deadline driven environment
- Ability to work effectively with mínimal supervision
- Critical thinking, problemsolving and analytical skills required
