Canpotex is hiring a

Legal Counsel to join the Legal and Corporate Affairs team in our Saskatoon office. This position is full-time; however, we are open to discussions regarding part-time arrangements.

The opportunity

  • Draft, review and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, including sale and purchase agreements, supply agreements, service agreements, and corporate governance agreements.
  • Provide advice on legal issues related to the company's business, including corporate and commercial law, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and dispute resolution.
  • Provide legal support for the development and implementation of company policies and procedures.
  • Assist with managing legal and regulatory compliance programs, including training and education programs for employees.
  • Advise on legal implications of business decisions and provide guidance on risk management.
  • Assist in records management compliance for the company.

You have

  • A Law degree and membership (or eligibility for membership) with the Law Society of Saskatchewan.
  • Minimum three years postbar call experience focused in corporate and commercial law.
  • Strong analytical, drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Experience in international sales, logistics or capital projects is considered an asset.
