Description

GRIT Engineering Inc. provides professional consulting services in site plan development, land development, municipal review, and geotechnical engineering. This firm is in its formative years and we are looking for a technician or technologist who is driven to succeed and looking for advancement opportunities as the firm grows.

Responsibilities

Prepare preliminary and detailed geotechnical engineering reports with excess soil management recommendations as per O.Reg 406/1
Schedule and perform fieldwork and sampling. This includes and not limited to borehole drilling, test pit monitoring, subgrade inspections and well installations.
Geo-Slope computer modelling.
Materials testing of concrete, soil and asphalt.
Aggregate and concrete laboratory testing in accordance with CCIL
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Civil/Geotechnical/Environmental Engineering Technology graduate. Eligible for or obtained OACETT or P.Eng designation an asset.
Experience and aptitude to work with the following software packages: Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Excel.
Possess strong organizational, oral, written communication, and problemsolving skills; have an approachable enthusiastic interpersonal style.
Willingness to travel within Ontario.
Possess a valid driver's license.

Salary:
$50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
