Job Summary:


The Senior BAS Systems Technician is responsible for providing start-up and commissioning, programming, site coordination and technical support for assigned projects and service.


Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for final deliverables including fully functioning and tested building control systems
  • Responsible for complete commissioning of building control system(s) including closeout
  • Coordinate with related parties including customer, trades and suppliers
  • Participate in new control system commissioning (Cx) and functional performance testing including meetings, reports and coordination
  • Communicate with customers and other service providers and participate in the resolution of control system and HVAC system issues
  • Liaison with design and installation team
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by and in accordance with all applicable Health, Safety and Environmental company policies and government legislation/regulations.
  • Adhere to the Company's Quality System operating procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

Qualifications

  • Trade school / Community college certificate
  • Building Systems Technician (HVAC&R), instrumentation or equivalent related work experience
  • Five years plus work experience in the building control system industry
  • Strong working knowledge of commercial and institutional building HVAC systems including heating, cooling, ventilation, primary and secondary systems
  • Well developed HVAC and control system troubleshooting skills.
  • Exceptional teamwork, interpersonal and communications skills. Ability to communicate technical material to nontechnical audience
  • Goal oriented. Able to multitask.
  • Superior time management skills
  • Superior organization skills
  • Technical strength in IT networks and programming. Proficiency in coding including script, block programming, HTML, MS Excel.
  • Experience in programming and commissioning DDC systems.
  • Must possess valid drivers license
