Your Contribution:
As a Hygiene Technician, you will work in collaboration with the HYGIENE HEALTH AND SAFETY TEAM.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Conduct projects in the industrial hygiene, potentially including, but not limited to: hazardous building material surveys (asbestos, leadbased paints, mercury, mould, etc.), abatement monitoring, indoor air quality assessments, abatement specifications and tender, abatement supervision, etc.;
- Coordinates and performs field responsibilities.
- Prepares deliverable documentation of various projects including hazardous building material survey reports, indoor air quality reports, etc.;
- Consistently executes prescribed technical procedures and work plans;
- Participates in office meetings and health and safety inspections;
- Maintain flexibility and adaptability to scheduling changes and occasional overtime, evening or weekend work;
- Travels worksites as assigned locally, and provincially
- Maintains a commitment to exceeding client expectations by consistently delivering high quality of work;
- Handle difficult situations with tact and diplomacy to maintains positive working relationships with all internal and external contacts;
- Perform other related duties as required.
Your Profile:
- Diploma
- Technical Diploma in applicable field, i.e., Engineering, Health Sciences, Building Sciences, required.
- Minimum of 2 + years' experience in a consulting environment;
- Extensive experience writing reports, specifications, case studies, technical and nontechnical reports; and
- Solid understanding of provincial and federal regulatory requirements acquired through experience and education
- Possession of valid driver's license required;
- Possession of or eligibility to obtain security clearance required.
